I remember when I was a kid how much fun that was.... now I'm old and crotchety and more prone to saying "You kids get off a my lawn" if they tried such a dern fool thing :D
Me, I think more about the bugs in that pile of leaves now. You're turning into the old crotchety guy, I'm turning into the old neurotic guy. Are we being cast in a direct-to-DVD buddy film??

So, if you do that, does that mean I can officially run away with Tom Hiddleston or Benedict Cumberbatch? (Incidentally, did you know Cumberbatch was initially slotted to play Thomas Sharpe in Crimson Peak but had to back out because of scheduling differences? So, Tom Hiddleston went to ask for his blessing before he stepped in because they are friends in real life. Would have been a very different movie, I think.)

I'm having trouble not picturing Cumberbatch's Holmes in that. Which would make it a quite different movie.

And anyone in the Virginia area who wants to join me for Tough Mudder next year, give a holler. The dates haven't been released yet, but I'm signed up for the 5K on Saturday and the 10-mile (ish) on Sunday.
Depending on timing and location, I might join you on the 5K. You can keep that 10 mile thing... that's bike or hike distance, not obstacle course.

And now for something completely different - today's Halloween hair. I have three of these doohickies - wore one yesterday, one today, and saving one for tomorrow.

Well... hike is ALMOST like an obstacle course... depending on where you hike. Yeah! That's it! You can just pretend you are hiking, yeah?

One of my Facebook friends who needs new glasses told me he thought it was a facehugger on a wookie at first. I had to respectfully point out to him I wasn't anywhere near big enough for a wookie. An ewok maybe.
Hahaha! Oh I didn't even think of it resembling a facehugger...... now that I do......

Whaddaya mean direct-to-DVD...it will be a rather successful sitcom....after the block-buster film

Has anyone here ever had a job solely just so they could pay for their martial arts training? What I mean is, going for a job that they're not necessarily passionate about, but one they got in order to pay training fees?

I left my job a couple of weeks ago, have absolutely no idea what I want to do or where I want to go... but feel such a burning drive for training (have had to stop training due to funds, and still in my trialling-of-different-styles period)... I feel like strangely I want to prioritise martial arts and focus on that, as it feels like my heart is really just certain on that at the moment. I feel like that's the only certain thing I want right now haha...

Anyone had a similar situation? Am sure there are pros and cons here.. XD

I'll try to remember to give a shout when they release the actual date and location. Last year, it was just north of Roanoke in early June. So far, the only events they haven't released dates for are Virginia and "Tri-State" (PA/NY/NJ), so I expect something soon.

You might want to pay your bills....most bill collectors don’t take martial arts advice as payment. Lol
