Oh...and I expect everyone to observe a moment of silence today at 3:00pm in honor of my Samsung model SCH-U640 flip phone, that after 10 years together, died yesterday at 3:00PM....

Now I have to get a ding dang smart phone...BAH!!! I HATE being forced into the modern era...

My deepest condolences.

You know you don't have to get a smartphone right?

There are a good few old fashioned phones available - dot matrix monochromatic screens, actual clicky buttons, just make calls and do texts...

I bought one for my mum a couple of months ago.

I'm thinking of going for one like this next, instead of a smart phone

I lusted for one of those when I had my satchel phone. Later I had one from my work and it didn't seem to have much more than the 4 hrs I got from my satchel phone.
Well, the battery was considerably smaller than the bag phone. I had three batteries for it - two of the standard ones and a much thicker version that probably lasted twice as long. It's odd how much folks gripe about battery life these days - we'd have been ecstatic to have a phone that we could talk on all day and still have some battery left.

That was my third one. First one came in a bag.

Worked at a hospital once where the VP had one of these

And he had one of these to go with it
