Sarah Palin for President?

this isnt some "he fit the description, and doesnt have an alibi, so we think it's him"

this is an electronic trail leading to one person, HIM

so the only options is that it is either him or someone set him up.

Which is surprisingly easy to do, I can send a email from your address real easily ;)

Now, look at all the emails that where circulated about Palin that turned out to be fake, or even browse through Snopes, it is full of tons of fake emails.

There are a lot of people that would like to see a Democratic Senators son implicated in this. Yet the person that actually did do it took the time to cover his tracks pretty well. It's not a stupid person, and whoever it was must know that if they get caught they would be in some legal trouble. Now if your dad is a politician, this would likely effect his career as well.

So really, why on earth would he confess had he gotten away with it?

And if he had, and the FBI had questioned him would it do any good at all to deny it?

As far as questioning him goes, of course he got questioned. I could circulate a email from you confessing and I suspect you would get questioned, they wouldn't be doing their jobs if they didn't.

Just for grins, from that article:
The FBI and Secret Service have launched an investigation into who illegally broke into Palin's account. However, the agencies have declined to name a suspect at this time.

The articles posted previously tie the kid to having used the screenname previously.

But that is not enough to convict the young man. And if it is found that he did this? He should be punished appropriately.

News flash: Sarah Palin isn't running for President! She's as likely to occupy that office as is Joe Biden (who is also not running for President). Argument ensues ...

McCain vs. Obama is the salient issue, the implications of that outcome gate all of this other speculation. We've lost focus.

That's the idea.

side note, Mr. Palin failed to show up in answer to his supena. Penalty is, nothing, it seems.

News flash: Sarah Palin isn't running for President!

I respect John McCain's service to our country, so I mean no disrespect when I say that I am concerned about his age and his health. The man is a 72 year old cancer patient. He was tortured in ways that eats years off people's lives. Their is a very good chance that Sarah Palin could become President if John McCain is elected President. The purpose of this thread is to discuss whether or not she would be up for that job.

Actuarially speaking, that's just not true.

But every VP candidate must be ready for the top job.

Barrack Obama is the first black man to have a significant chance at the Oval Office. I mean no disrespect, nor do I wish him ill, but it is reasonable to expect that some racist idiot would go after him with bad intentions (that seems to happen to ground breakers ...). So, I'm concered about his health. There is a very good chance that Joe Biden could become President if Barrack Obama is elected President. I started a companion thread to this one on Biden. The purpose of that thread was to discuss whether or not he would be up for that job. It's gotten 5 replies. Curious ...

i am not worried, history has shown us that people of great character rise to thier responsibilities

teddy roseveldt
john kennedy
George Bush

none were really qualified to be president when they were elected, all accomplished great things, some good some bad, but hisotric accomplishments none the less

I believe that John McCain will finish his term after he is elected. If he doesnt, I am still not worried, Because I see a LOT of character in Sarah Palin

He's right, an actuary would tell you that older people like McCain have a higher chance of passing in the US than younger people.
Older people die more often than younger people? Shocker!

It's a diversionary tactic to focus attention on Obama vs. Palin rather than Obama vs. McCain. The former is fictitious, the latter is reality.

I read an article a few weeks back about the odds that the next presidential term would be finished by someone not qualified for the job.

The premise was that Obama was not qualified by experience for the job, but neither is Palin. McCain and Biden both are.

If McCain is elected, there is a significant chance that he will die during his term and Palin will assume the office, thus the result of someone not qualified for the office filling out the term.

If Obama is elected, there is a larger chance the he will *live* through his term and thus a higher chance that his term will be finished by someone not qualified for the position

No, I thought you were keying in on the way he used actuary...it appeared that you were unfamiliar with the term.

Besides, older people don't don't more often...everyone only dies once.

People don't worry about Biden. Perhaps they should...

Okay, look, I get it. You tend to favor McCain and Palin. You've said that.

I'm not voting for either pair. I disagree with McCain/Palin and Obama/Biden on most of the "major" issues. With that being said, I still feel like Palin is not very qualified for the position of VP...much less qualified for President.

Far more old men die then black men are lynched. Love the "new age" as much as you want, old age gonna kick your ***.

As far as Veeps go, Palin, IMHO, has a much better chance of becoming president.

Hell, Biden could keel over tomorrow...maybe that needs to go in the other thread.

Biden is a non-entity, since the vegas odd's maker's are now betting that he will drop out, and HILLARY of all people will be the VP-candidate

if obama had selected an ex-military officer, preferably a general, he would have this thing sewn up.

Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated-Mark Twain

Love the way McCain's been put in the ground already.

Wishful thinking??

Perhaps alone in this belief, but I think both Sarah Palin and Barack Obama could be much more effective than anyone seems to think possible. Hollywood satirists (with an agenda), flip celebrities (with an agenda) and media talking heads (with an agenda) can make whatever noises and inferences they wish... but I think neither of these people are the stupid buffoons they are being made out to be.

I am concerned that Sarah Palin or Barack Obama could fail in office - but I am infinitely more troubled that so many will want them to fail. Apparently one can take the odious Clinton and Bush families out of the races... but the hate, the polarization, the constant war room campaign red and blue tripe just goes on.

People, if you don't lose the red + blue attitudes, you may get to revisit the Blue and the Gray. Somebody sarcastically referred to Obama as the Obamaessiah..... but I am starting to think that, no matter who gets in office, the only "messiah" that'll save this train wreck is the one we all see in the mirror.

I'd be the last one who could throw a dart over making funny and sarcastic posts. But we (including me) so easily get sidetracked by trivia - as a consequence missing out on the real issues. This thread was created with the best of intentions. Yet, after all this (cyber) mileage can anyone read it and intelligently answer whether Sarah Palin can be a good President? What would she do about Iran? Would she get us out of Iraq - when and how? What about higher taxes on families at every level, while incompetent corporations get bailouts? How about illegal immigration.... Russia.....keeping American jobs? Aren't these - and others - what we really need to be exploring - - - and finding out what John, Sarah, Barack and Joe would do about them?

Okay, look, I get it. You tend to favor McCain and Palin. You've said that.
Not really, I'd prefer to have the option to vote for a true Republican/conservative. My vote will be for Obama's opponent.
