Sarah Palin for President?

Beware of the fabled goode olde days...... I believe that those with power were misusing during the yellow journalism era, too. There have been many questions, for example, as to who and what got us into war with Spain in 1898. Remember, too, that in the pre-Internet days, the Rather election scam with the bogus military papers would've worked.

Another good point. I was being a bit simplistic I agree. but I do think this age of 24 hr news is not whats best for us as a society either.

I think you young pups who complain about the press shaping society should read or see All the President's Men and study up on the reporters in that true story.

pups? thats offensive

and I know that story, two hack reporters got lucky on ONE story, and now an entire profession thinks it is thier job to change society, instead of thier actual job, which is just to report the news in a truthfull, unbiased manner.

The press, print and TV in particular are by and large worthless today. They are leftist hacks touting a barely concealed agenda.

as for a cite, since you are unwilling or unable to do your own homework.....LOL

And no andrew, it wouldnt be on all the major news sources, in america at least, since they are vastly in the dems corner, they dont like reporting stuff that shows exactly what american democrats are doing

Those two "hack reporters" did more than get lucky on one story. You clearly don't want to grasp the importance of their investigative reporting ... or is it because the targets were Republicans? Can we get beyond partyism to move forward for the betterment of the country?

AND, from your own links, the evidence right now is thin (though potentially mounting according to one of the conservative sites you posted).

Yup, everyone is out to get you.

Now as I pointed out Fox News as not even being willing to claim this as true, are you honestly trying to say that Fox News is in the Democrats corner?

see, smart assed little comments like that are why i dont take you too seriously. I am sure it is just your type of humor, but it kind of comes across as sarcastic and condesending. That doesnt really help in building a rapport. Just food for thought Andrew.

I dont think anyone is out to get me Andrew, but i watch the news, i watch a LOT of news, and it simply cant be denied that the press, print and TV in particular are by and large in the tank for Obama, just like they were for Clinton.

And Fox is simply VERY carefull. They didnt release the FULL Jesse Jackson live mike comments. They had the story of Edwards out of wedlock baby, but didnt release it.

Shesulsa,
Woodward and bernstien got LUCKY with ONE story, Thats just my opinion, feel free to disagree. Mind you, Woodward is one hell of a writer, but IMO, only so so as a reporter. Berstien, same story.

BTW- saying 'cant we move past partyism" in one sentence then adding the label "conservative" to the links i posted is a bit hypocritical, dont you think? Even if it is an accurate label, using it casts the site, which to all apearances is legit, under the suspicion of bias. A supicion which is, as of now, un-founded.

Okay. I disagree. I think they worked their butts off to get to the bottom of the Watergate scandal, risked their lives in the process, and kept the name of their source quiet until only just recently.

Okay ... but your posting all your sources from the conservative category (sorry, do you deny they are conservative sources?) and my saying they are conservative is not partyism. Now if I were to say, Oh I see, you rely on right-wing rags for all your information and try to pass it off as truth ... now that would be partyism and not okay. That's why I didn't type that.

So ... be very careful where you point the bias finger.

Sort of like the Titanic, which is also known for only one event.

By the way, Bob Woodward has gotten lucky (by making his own luck) more often than that--just never as big a story as a U.S. president trying to steal an election.

Investigative reporters are a huge check on the govt. (and see the current Doonesbury storyline).

I dont disagree, but thats still just one story

see, i didnt look at the sources, I just googled 'palin hacker" checked the links to see which ones named him, and didnt look at anything else.

usually i would, but i didnt in this case.

if they are all conversitive leaning sites, that just backs up what i said earlier, that the left leaning mainstream press wont report this till they have to...

I totally agree, AS LONG AS they check thier personal politics at the door and just report the facts

Dan Rather?
memogate?

sound familiar?

There is too much bias in our "news" today, IMHO. But Watergate was a fine piece of investigative reporting to get at the truth and I think if we had more of that type of "reporting" then perhaps we'd have better candidates to vote for this year.

I dont disagree, but thats still just one story

Perhaps it's the only one you know them for, but it is hardly the only story either of them investigated in the interest of revealing truth. Here's a scant bit of info for you on what they did afterwards - and it is, indeed, scant. But, to be fair, if you and a partner were looked upon by the world as being the reporters responsible for the end of ... say ... Clinton's presidency ... Doncha think your life would be rather inundated by that?

Arnisador compared it to The Titanic. I'd compare it to Apollo 13. Most people know the story of the Apollo 13 mission. Do you know about the other Apollo missions? Are they devalued because of the familiarity with 13?

No, look at all the nonsense left leaning blogs publish, MSM won't touch most of that either.

If there was any credible evidence that this was the case it would be making headlines internationally, not just on some blogs on the internet.

Like Dan Rather and his memogate documents?

sorry, the IDEA you have is correct, but the reality a much different thing

and as for credible?

the kids DAD has admitted he is being questioned, the local FBI office has admitted it is on the case, whats not credible about that?

Guilty until proven innocent? Is that the country you live in?

So ... you don't see much difference between these two statements?

how much fun is this? the guy that hacked sarah palin's email?

the son of a democratic state senetor from tennesee...........

in any other crime, the person of interest is announced isnt it?

this isnt some "he fit the description, and doesnt have an alibi, so we think it's him"

this is an electronic trail leading to one person, HIM

so the only options is that it is either him or someone set him up.
