The streets are deserted around here, everyone is off to The Cape or up north on holiday. I so love this place when it's like this. Went food shopping - it was a ghost town. Gonna' make a big pot of bolognese sauce while sipping some good wine and listening to The Graceland album. What a fine day!

Living near the Cape can have its advantages :)

I use to love to walk around Boston when the College were done for the summer, it was so quiet. and this was back when I was a college age kid.

Okies
Thursday was 'stage walking' tonight the party, I think the Graduation is officially over.
Congratulations, kid, Class of 2016.

I am tired. don't know if I want beer or wine now before I tumble into bed!

Last Friday I had an impromptu afternoon off...so instead of having the oldest mow the lawn I did it and left a little bit for him to trim.....thought I would give him a break.... that was Friday.... This is Monday.... he is still in bed...it is 12:30...its going to rain this afternoon..... so I will go trim (it is 90 degrees today)....boy oh boy do I have a fun afternoon planned for him that involves vacuuming, cleaning and basically realizing that just because he spent a year at college does not mean he can come home, treat his room like a dorm (it is currently a pigsty), not listen to Mrs Xue and not doing expected chores..... and I'm just getting warmed up.....

It is absolutely surprising how much work one gets for not doing an assigned (incredibly short) chore (basically blowing it off, after being reminded 3 times) and not listening to Mrs Xue on several occasions over the last 4 days..... one of the new assignments was meant with a shocked drop jaw look....

KS - yeah, that's always a bummer, he probably feels a little something, too. Happens a lot over the years. And sometimes it's you.
