I am assuming it's nothing life threatening (but serious enough to go to children's?)

That's terrible, my friend . About the only plus side to that I can think of is that they must have a perception that what is the matter will not become worse over that time scale.

Off to children's Hospital in Washington DC with my son for more tests wish us luck.

They don't know what it is yet that's why we were going. He had positive tests for lupus but I guess that doesn't mean anything. But he have to figure that out before they figure out his heart problems.

Believe it! Actually there was a leak and we weren't sure where--this was good news.

Then again, I have been burned by a 'pro' before....so unless it's waste water, I think I will learn to do it myself.
