I think it takes living here to really appreciate what is is like, especially close in to the city. You had made a comment once about pedestrians walking in to traffic...and migosh it sounded like you were describing my old neighborhood in the Fenway.

Yes! That is the first place I lived here across the road from tasty burgers. Next to Fenway.

Question...I have a friend from another dojang who seemed surprised at the time in between my 1st and 2nd Dan tests...I earned my 1st Dan one year ago and - provided my training keeps on track - I can test for 2nd Dan in two more years. I can't imagine a different system, but I was curious about other black belts on here - did you have to wait that long or longer?? - shorter?

Anywhere from 1 to 3 years from 1st to 2nd black is common.
