The essence of Tai Chi push hand kung fu

This is going backward (no leg skill allowed). I prefer to go forward and send my students to Sanda instead.

😂 ok

Take it you have not competed in it, nor trained interacted with people who do compete
Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Mention this feeling a lot of questions might be answered...
as to why this or that is done or not.

People I've met in China, Taiwan the range of PH they do is pretty large, as well as intensity...
If you prefer leg skill, some probably wouldn't have much a problem accommodating it.
On the other hand, one might find out why it might not be a good idea to try it....ya never know..

Not a fan of ph, as its practiced by many...
Do use it at times as a kind of testing ground...
meeting people, making friends...

You continued to come back at me with him trying to justify what he is doing, I can only assume in an attempt to get me to see the error of my ways..

😂
You know what they say about assuming...things

"Justify" some else's work...
Thinking only they can do it..and those that follow it
as in training, or practicing it, finding some value or interest in it.

Others might find it interesting or not...

If you want to post "one liners" as a critique of something or someone.
Please do it on some ones else thread.

If you want to share a presumably informed view point.
by all means continue.

If you say your "done" then be done

no reply needed...

My Shifu was not impressed by him either, did not think he was all that good..... I'm done here, you want to be impressed by him, go for it, but do not expect me to be.
I think his taiji forms performance is really great, there’s absolutely more to it than just for forms competition, I can see that it can bring on jealousy to some.
As for his PH it’s best to try him out on it to be able make a sound judgement.

Jealousy has nothing to do with it..... and I was not talking push hands, or his form, I was talking about his applications and his treatment of students....but like I said...I'm done with that part of this discussion, so either drop it with me, or expect no further response on it...have a nice day

Well Grandmaster..... Sorry you take someone disagreeing with you so poorly..... but if you are not going to respond to things I write and make accusations based on things I haven't said, all I have left to say is ..... go away boy ya bother me.... have a nice day....

😂

In Chinese there is a saying

真正會咬人的狗不會叫

yes indeed have a nice day...🙂
That by the way is against MT Rules..... have to post translation
You at least have a mastery of using Emoji's in an insulting manner, also you are pretty good at troll tactics
And I recommend you don't continue this attack, that is unless you are trying to get your post locked....

But to response properly to your Chinese insult, as it applies to me wasting time to continue this conversation with you....

对牛弹琴
Duìniútánqín
playing the lute to a cow

good to know ☝️

真正會咬人的狗不會叫

Dogs, that bite, don't bark.

not an insult, an observation

If you don't have any thing to add to the topic.
post on another thread or start one of your own....

Should that matter?

There are many ways to look at a movement, demo it based
on ones focus and skill set.

What he showed within his skill set range, is just one of them.

Found it interesting that he did not use the first point of contact, considering his many demos showing,
the first point of contact being the one used.

His background was in southern mantis before Taiji.
Seems like remnants of his previous training show through.
This guy’s posture is a poor example. He does not pass the shirt test.

太极拳单鞭实战用法:挒如撕物!实用!Taichi
Practical Application of Tai Chi Single Whip: Splitting Like Tearing Material! Practical! Taichi

This teacher's method a little different...tighter, closer range...
As mentioned the point of contact, determines a lot of the usage ..

In Adam's clip he uses the point of contact to get to the body...
a little surprising, considering his focus on attaching, joining, sticking, controlling
