Tell me something good...

I try to repeat what I did yesterday, I could only do 180 pushups today. May be 280 pushups every day is too much for me. Not sure I should just do 180 pushups daily or do 280 pushups ever other days.
It may just take you longer to get that many in. More stops needed.

In my 4 miles walking/training, I also do

- 1376 punches,
- 232 kicks/leg skill,
- 80 footwork drills.

Include the 180 (or 280) pushups, warm up, and leg stretching, it takes me exactly 2 hours. I will be happy if I can keep doing this every day.

IT'S A MIRACLE! The mouse has risen!

They have over here.

We go through cycles. First it was fruit flies this year, had to suck them up with the vacuum cleaner every day for several weeks. Then it was ants, they were relentless but we beat them.

Then the mud wasps. Real sons O beeches. Then centipedes, oh, how I hate centipedes.

Then yesterday morning, probably as a holiday preview, mice. They’re under the house all of a sudden. But their days are numbered.

Farmland in the tropics can be a real pain.

But on a positive note, cane spiders haven’t shown up since we got the dog, going on four years now. She ate a few as a youngster. I guess they got the message

Super hot today (37°C), so we spent most the class doing push hands. LOVE it. That is aaafter me putting the guys through their paces with a "warmup".

Also have been asked if I want to do an instructor's accreditation course now that I'm 1st dan so I can help out and teach more on my own without supervision, so that's awesome.

And helped to break up a fight happening on the tram today. Young kids targeting another young fellow minding his own business. Few punches were thrown but managed to settle things down so nothing further escalated. Thankful someone else jumped in to help as well.

Also went to one of my very first instructor's grading to show support (Kyokushin grading to yondan). He did exceptionally well in this heat, can't fathom how he did the 40 rounds of kumite at the end. But always such an inspiring thing to see, and I get emotional every single time I watch one. Something really special happens in them.. it is truly and utterly phenomenal, and a testament to the human spirit.

All in the one day. Big day :)
