Art college is one of the instances where it makes sense. It works as intended, is powerful enough for a bunch of different applications needed for music or graphic design, and requires very little thought to use beyond those programs.
Except that the new one didn't come bundled with any kind of image editing software. I thought 'Oh, I'll just buy photoshop, time I bought a new version', so I looked at prices, seemed pretty reasonable then I noticed the word '/month' and I thought 'Look, I don't mind paying for your software but I am FIDDLESTICKED if I'm going to rent it...

That's the new model major softwares heading to. They discovered that if they don't force people to rent, business slows down once most of their clientele has the product. This was if a business needs something for a long time, even if the buy cost would've been 10 times the rent cost, they're making more by the end of the first year.

Also, same as with music, subscriptions are a good way to curb piracy.

Have been dealing with since 7AM four separate sites for one client in dissaray. All with separate issues. Dealing with misinformation from the users, sharing that with my team and then finding out that it's misinformation, making me look dumb. For the first two hours the onsite tech was fully unresponsive as well. Still no closer to resolving the issues, and just got a ticket in that I've told them if they make me work with that doctor I may quit because of how nasty he is.

I'm cranky today. Going to try not to talk to anyone here.

I tell you...it is sad, when you have to explain to the union rep, who you called to ask a question and get clarification, how organizational charts work.... and to inform him one state office has no control of another state office's org chart

The weather is doing that thing is shouldn't be doing again. Dropping below 70 degrees. It just ain't right.

A nice 24°C here, on a whim decided to go for a swim at the pool across the road!! Has been awhile... it was just lovely :)

Rain rain and lots of rain here.... but go North a few miles and they had their second snowfall as well....and some. a bit closer to me, in the north, are having their first freezing rain storm of the year... but its all good....I had pie for breakfast

I have an idea for a thread, that I want to do that is not against the rules of MT, but might ruffle the feathers of a few people on MT......
If you're worried that it might lead to trouble, maybe bounce the idea off someone on staff?
