Was in Chinatown Sunday, so lunch today; Lo mein and Cha siu bao.....

Found a full on, no doubt about it, Cantonese restaurant there this time.... and they make the best Cha Siu (Chinese roast pork) that I have had.....

Man root beer taste so good. The other night I made floats for the whole family. My first ever root beer float was at my great aunts bar in NY, she owned it and back then it was legal for me and my brother to be there even though it was a bar. Times were different with that stuff back then. So yeah everytime I have one it brings me back to early 90s NY at my aunts bar. The cadets at west point would come in for a beer and me and my younger brother would be in there, and they would give us coins to play the games. The bar was downstairs upstairs was my aunts house it was connected, she could walk down from her house up top through a stairway down to the bar. This is also the house when I was living there that I first discovered dragon ball z. It's crazy how a certain song, or a food or drink, or even a smell can transport you back to where you first experienced it in your head.

Macs aren't all they're cracked up to be any more. I've just had to customise this fiddlesticker with a cable mouse from a 20 year old one.
Honestly, outside of a few professions that need applications that work in mac, they never were. Pretty much everything apple has been a beneficiary of a combination of incredibly good marketing, and incredibly shady business practices.

I dunno, I liked the old one I got from the government when I was diagnosed with asperger's syndrome and attending art college. It was a great piece of kit, but this recent one is.... badly designed. There's nothing wrong with the actual hardware it's stuff like not having an optical drive, the mouse needing to be charged through a port on the bottom of the mouse, nothing that would have cost much money to fix, just little sheety things like that.

Oh, and

I JUST SAW A HERD OF FALLOW FIDDLESTICKING DEER1! Bold as brass in the newly planted wood on the hill!

Shady as the day is long.

Art college is one of the instances where it makes sense. It works as intended, is powerful enough for a bunch of different applications needed for music or graphic design, and requires very little thought to use beyond those programs.
