Where you staying we went down for our anniversary we were in Rivera Maya. The place we went was amazing

The Riviera Maya is everything from Cancun, all the way south past Tulum, including Cozumel. So that's not very specific.

When we're in Cancun, we stay at an adult only resort called Temptation. No, it's not a swinger resort. That's the resort called "Desire", further south. It IS a party place though. It's an outstanding resort. At one end of the beach it's super quiet. At the other, you're near enough to the party pool to listen to the music, but also close enough to hear when they announce things like the belly flop contest, or the fake orgasm contest. Or when they bring out the blow up doll for the "How many positions can you come up with in 2 minutes" contest. Just in case you want to participate.

When we're on Cozumel, we've stayed at the Sabor (very nice, but a long way from town), Hotel Cozumel (also nice, but with only 1 restaurant, the meals get sort of repetitive) and this time we're going to stay at the Cozumel Palace.

Most likely Puerto Morales or Playa del Carmen then. What resort?

We've never stayed in that area because the diving is better in Cancun and Cozumel, but we go through there on the way to Tulum. The best cave diving in the world is in the cenotes around Tulum.

Yes the cenotes are amazing. Diving off the beach at the resort was nothing special but it was close you could see it from our room.

That's Puerto Morales. Only 4 good dive sites in that area as far as I am concerned; Los Arcos, the Aquarium, the wreck of the C53 (which is actually closer to Cozumel...) and (in winter) the Bull Shark dives off Playa del Carmen. None of which are shore dives.
