while that does sound good and part of my heritage is English - ours is an egg fried in the center of a piece of bread with butter, salt and pepper... it's awesome

OH.....
I make those all the time. A bit onion and garlic powder to top it off...
egg sunny side up, just right so the whites are no longer runny but the yoke is still liquid...hmmm

Sometimes you do more damage digging than if you just leave it alone. It'll either work it's way out or get encysted. Unless it starts to look infected, it's no big deal.
