"Storm of the century" is coming......Seems like we have one every year

The sun is out....the birds are chirping..... its 27 degrees Fahrenheit....... feels like spring

As sad or wrong as that sound...after the last few days of below zero...... that is EXACLTY what it feels like

I can't take much more of this today.....the whining and complaining is driving me over the edge...and it is kicking the heck out of me with this acid reflux stuff..... I think I will go home early

The water at 70 feet was 83F yesterday...

And we went to the World Famous Chicken Drop last night.
You buy a ticket for like 50 cents. A chicken is dropped in a little pen with number squares on the floor.
If the chicken poops on your number, you win $50.

Yes. That's right. It's chicken poop bingo.

Enjoy....I have no desire to go diving and I am not much of a fan of heat. But if it is what you enjoy I hope you're having a great time

The wife and I made our way south to excape the snow. The east coast is bad from north to south. Heading back tomorrow if they don't ground the flights.

I know... you've got this silly irrational fear of sharks.

Speaking of which, on dive #2 yesterday, we spotted two 5-7' nurse sharks on our descent. And a 6-7' green moray out for a swim (which is unusual during the day...). The sharks started following us like a couple of puppies. Shooting a couple lionfish and feeding them probably did nothing to discourage them. At one point, we were hovering in over a sandy area looking for rays and the sharks settled in on the bottom. I scooted up close nose to nose to get some pictures and they still just lay there. So I moved around beside them to pet one of them. I hope someone got that on camera...

Today the waters were cold... 82F at 100 feet.

On dive #1 this morning, a large box fish (about 24" lobng...) got in Kims face and wouldn't move away. Closer look showed a small Remora attached to it's belly. Removed the Remora, and the boxfish swam away happily.
