I would unfriend you for using face book..... but that would mean I would have to use face book to unfriend you...and then immediately unfriend myself for the same reason....and the philosophical ramifications could be devastating......so....Aww the heck with it...shunning is soooooo much easier

It's time to reduce FB time.
It was at one brief time a better, more reliable way to reach some folks I needed to get in touch with, dealing with the groups I work with.

coming from the Cybersecurity POV, FB is just way to scary. People freely give out way to much personal information to people they do not really know. And, to me, Twitter is the same, or possibly worse

the good old 'I am leaving for Belize, and the back door doesn't lock, lol!!'
Right!

Worked with someone once who, upon their arrival to their destination, was informed by the hotel, in Key West, that her husband had called to see if she had arrived yet..... she was not married. She was a big Facebook user.

And when she returned she needed to go furniture shopping?

Yes, and while I like looking at my friend's pictures of her kids, I think it is very dangerous to share too many images of them like this.

Actually she had nothing taken and in that sense she was lucky, however I do believe she was dealing with an electronic stalker, not sure how that ended up though, I no longer work with her.

Right!

The backdoor does lock, we have a little puppy (half German Shepard, half Great Dane) and we're a household of shooters...

But if you go to Belize...... your not there to shoot...and if it is an extended trip the puppy is not there to protect either....... you're in Belize...the puppy is in a kennel or with a friend and the person you announced your trip to on FB is in your house..unshot and unchewed

And speaking of sharing info one shouldn't. I am told by the Mrs Xue (who handles all Chinese and Japanese language issues) that we are going to Europe this year...France and Switzerland. And since I took German in College I am the one to do most of the talking in Switzerland..... ok...I can brush up on German...no real worries....I will not be taken as a Native by anyone...but I should be able to communicate. But I recently learned since I was forced to take French in 4th grade (over 4 freaking decades ago) that I am the one to communicate in France to..... EXCUSE ME!!!!! French..... all I can remember is Au Revoir, où est petter, and...un deux trois quatre cinq six sept huit neuf dix onze douze treize quatorze

I gots me a lot o library language disks to listen to over the next few months

Sue and I go. Not the entire household. These trips are like a 3-4 time per year honeymoon trip.
Although Sue and I are the only ones in the household who train in unarmed combat, the puppy will be here, as will several people with ample experience with handguns.

kinda sorta my humpday monday....but three days, and then weekend...it'ss ok.
Too bad, I didn't get much done on my off day. Too many people want stuff...

I don't think anybody likes camomille tea...BUT: It IS highly effective with stomach problems.
