Mexico was, as usual, fabulous.
This is me, sinking through the cloud in a cenote known as "The Pit". This cloud is composed of sulfides produced by organic material that falls into the cenote rotting. It collects at about 90 feet, at the halocline (the point where fresh water from the top meets salt water from the bottom). We were glad to see that the owners had built stairs. In the past, the entry was a 20 foot jump. The exit was a rope.
