Actually, now that you mention it...
We were doing some hang time at 15 feet to blow off nitrogen after a night dive. A squid came by. Unlike other squid, it didn't go away. It hovered right in the middle of our group for 4-5 minutes. It even let Alvaro and I touch it.
One of the coolest things I've ever seen.
Sent from an old fashioned 300 baud acoustic modem by whistling into the handset. Really.
you forgot the water....

Actually I do have a question about squid, I have seen a few squid and octopus (in videos) attach themselves to dives and it at least one case it was an attack but I was wondering about the Vampire Squid, are they ever an issue, or are they just like any other squid....except for the giant squid....which we all know are just baby Krakens![]()
I'm skeptical about the "attack"...
I've had octopus and slipper lobsters attach themselves to me. Never a squid. Never an attack, either. I try to coax these critters into coming out to visit.
I've never seen a Vampire Squid, nor am I likely to, since they live in 2000+ feet of water. You can't really dive that deep... Even commercial saturation divers don't go that deep.
Would be cool to see one, though.
Never let a guy borrow you computer....
Had to email a document from hubby's laptop (The Kid had borrowed it)
Previously the Laptop was 'mine' for 'business' purposes....
I log into my email, click on the file attachment icon and a window with a bunch of naked people pops up....
I mean, what the H E double hockey sticks!
Of course, NOBODY did it.... :hb:
Quick scan, Malewarebyte scan and boot scan later....I removed some cooties...
But either they are both stupid and didn't pay attention what they clicked on, or they are stupid and think I believe them....Come ON guys, just buy a Playboy!
Was doing some work on a relatives PC and came up with all sorts of pornography stored in files on the PC under her son's account.....oops..... of course he had no idea where it came from...but then in my illustrious career I have come up with all sorts of amazing things on other peoples PCs and they had no idea how it got there
Did have one guy though come to me and he looked like he was about to pass out he was so nervous. He hit a legitimate website and all of a sudden all sorts of porn started popping up on his PC (and that is actually what happened) there was an popup-virus back then that would sit on websites and if you clicked the link they infected...WHAMMO!!!! you were getting porn downloads

Since they were luminescent I thought they were deep water but I was not sure. There was an "alleged" attack by an octopus but from what I could see, based solely on the video (on TV), it appeared to be threatened, it changed color and then went after the diver. But then there could be a lot of other factors involved in that as well.
But still.....they're not sharks so they can't be all bad :uhyeah:
Oh for crying out loud...I hate it when they try and do things secretly....they never can....I always know.... and they would save themselves a hell of a lot of grief if they would just be upfront and honest...yup...work....again
That sounds more like self-defense than an attack...
Kinda like the thing with the nekked people, huh!
