Very true. I will say that your points are all valid and yes to accuse all colleges for the actions of one would be just as bad as the racism we're debating wouldn't it.
The truth is, that not all schools teach this. Which is why I think this particular instance is newsworthy. But it is a disturbing occurance that I fear is becoming a trend.
Now this doesn't mean that I don't believe in education about a racist past. On the contrary, I believe that education is the primary way to change. However this alleged campaign is racist propaganda, not proper education. And just serves to fuel fires that we're trying to put out. Makes problems worse and I believe it to be unethical. That being said, hopefully there is enough people disagreeing with this BS to change it. We'll see how this goes, we can talk about it until we're blue in the face but it won't change much.
Also we seem to be the only ones left discussing it, and we seem to agree on most points anyway for the most part.
