The demo went great, got there right on time (cutting really close though!). Basically we did a short demo, talked to the troop about what courage is, had them stand up (verbally) to our students (who were acting as bullies), and then had them perform a flying side kick against the recurve pad with a loud kihap. The girls loved it, and we may have garnered some interest for some prospective students (always a plus).
Demos are fun. One of our students is an elementary school teacher, and asks us to her school every year for career day. After listening to people talk about their jobs, we do some poomsae, some free sparring, and some breaking. The thank you notes they send are fun. Last year, there were several that commented on the crazy man breaking boards with his head.
Sounds like a great fun demo time, thanks for the update...............
Well gang this party is over. I can't make the weekend last any longer. Now to make it to the bed without getting bit by fido who thinks he owns the bed if I'm not there.
