My chinese long beans have sprouted. This is the second attempt to grow them since the first ones didn't grow.

A lovely morning has been had here - bright sunshine, not too warm, plentiful birdsong ...

Did a bit of gardening; making a start on the disaster area that neglect since last October has wrought. A little upsetting to be clearing away the pots and baskets that I planted every year for my darling wife. I shall plant some for her when June comes along with a little more conviction. Also sad that the blackbird that built her nest in our veranda on my birthday has been driven off by the local vermin (aka cats). I tried to keep them away from her but their evil is relentless.

I totally pissed off a protester just now. There are a bunch of people protesting Geneticly mutated foods. Well the ringleader has a sign with two peanut M and Ms on it and something about mutated peanuts. Well I just happen to have a bag of M and M peanuts. So I walk up to him ask him what he's protesting and then start eating my M and Ms. He freaked out
