Jared couldn't wait. Already creamed him one-on-one. I am grey and black.

really in the mood to play chess again now. Too bad none of my friends at college are willing to play me anymore :(
Always get annoyed at me for beating them so easily, or annoyed for me going easy on them, its a lose-lose situation :'(

My husband would always give up as soon as I captured his queen. He's queen-dependent, so it usually happened in the first five moves.

I should say, though, that I don't really think I'm that good. I really would like to play more and with a wider variety of opponents.

if you dont mind not having the physical pieces, go to chess.com, its free and there are a ton of people o play there. Or look around to see if there's a chess club near you that you can play with

I like to think of it as dropping back to the basics, kick, step in and punch.

well....if you guys have any prayers laying around ;) - I have another interview next MONDAY!!!:) (I think I have a better shot at this one, but don't want to jinx it:) )

Did some Taekwondo coaching this weekend.

Listened to some idiot prattle on for what seemed like hours about how I'd get hurt on "the street" because my hands were down. Guy was probably 50 something and horrendously out of shape. Yeah, whatever.

To me the hands-down thing has always been off-putting for self-defense--I know people say they'll fight differently on the street vs. sport, but I'm of the mind that you should train how you'll fight (unless you're in it mostly just for the sport, which is great).
