Spent the morning fighting white out conditions and ice roads to get parts to fix my grandfathers garage door. Fought the weather to do that, made it home after almost losing car to people who have never seen snow before despite living in WNY their whole lives.
8" of wet heavy snow in driveway needing to be manually removed as I don't have a snow blower. Each shovel had to be carried at least 20-30 ft because of nature of driveway. Took several hours only pausing to eat, drink coffee and piss. Oh and argue on facebook as a break. After hours of that, had dinner, then back to my grandfathers to dig him out. All in all I spent almost 10 hrs shoveling heavy crap snow. I am so over winter.

I should be on a friggen cruise ship right now.

I start a new temp assignment tomorrow performing clerical work at Wells Fargo. So instead of rubbing elbows with blue collar gangland thugs, I will now be rubbing elbows with white-collar wall street thugs.

First day in my new department.... which I was forced to agree to move to..just like virtually every other IT person in the state...... Agree to move and you are moved....Do not agree to move and it is your resignation..... First day in a renamed failed department….. Renaming things always makes it better….welcome to efficiency in government

Love of your art is good, and with that level of commitment you will go far.

The scenery never changes! Good luck anyway.

I am processing foreclosure and loan default paperwork. Just a cog on the wheel.

These are for homes all over the country and many of them are from the east coast. I'm looking at bank statements, statements of hardship, photographs, tax returns ....

They run the gamut from Coney Island residents sending pictures of piles of rubble half-buried in sand as evidence of what was left of the home to people with six-figure incomes living in $300k homes and claiming financial hardship because their water heater failed ... without leaking. Some stories are heartbreaking, some are just rotten damn luck, some are economy-based strife and some are just flat-out ridiculous.

I feel like I'm looking at a snapshot of the world of home ownership. Gotta let it run off my back, ya know?

Nevertheless, it's $11.25/hour - Washington wages, folks, no state income tax - I wasn't earning before.

...about to look up another question for one of my classes...and I realize - I hope I never run out of questions....I think being a lifelong learner would be ok with me....:)

I've decided to add Yoga and Compassion Meditation to my morning routine.

... well a new coffee mug and switching to Decaf - but it's a step in the right direction :)
