This weekend I had a little crash and realized that I'd been gnawing around the edges of random leftovers ... not good nutrition. So I got creative and had a culinary orgy today based strictly on what I had in my pantry and freezer. I'm only about halfway through my cooking list:
Borscht
Lentil curry soup
Southwestern pinto bean stew
Curry potato/pea/green bean stew
Kheer (see a trend here?)
Pumpkin bread
Yeast bread (I screwed this one up ... never could bake, even with a bread machine)
Cream of asparagus soup
I always always cook with the freezer in mind, so that's the plan here. Even if I never made anything else while I noshed on all this, it would feed me for at least a month.
Now my house smells like a 5-star bistro and I'm too tired to eat anything. :uhyeah:
