I've been messing with AI to generate a logo for MartialTalk. I've gone through a ton of iterations and I love MANY of the designs it's given me. Though, the text is almost always messed up or wonky. I figured someone else may want to give it a shot. Here are some designs I've liked, and some that look cool but don't have proper text. I'm only using Microsoft's AI image generator...

Anyone else want to try their hand?

It’s a shame the AI generates those serious-faced, machismo muscleman, blades and fierce dragon types of logo. It says a lot about what it’s learned about people’s perceptions of the martial arts. It’s a bit sad really and I wouldn’t want my discipline associated with that kind of notion. A child growing up through the MA and transmogrifying into a learned, moralistic adult, perhaps holding a writing brush…or the scales of justice is perhaps more appropriate…something positive rather than ‘I can kick your bottom if I want’!

The top one in the center! Because when you have a whole organization of communist revolutionaries who are also martial artists, you'd better watch out!

But seriously - I don't know if it's a problem for everyone else, but the logos do appear to be "Japanocentric," in that they all wear clothing associated with Japanese martial arts.

I'd probably use an image that's more neutral - like one with fist in it or something, and not a whole person.

Yes I noticed that too, but then the CMA etc do all seen to have adopted the ‘black belt/sash’ around the midriff from the JMA. How about a nice koala bear?🐨

Most CMA I deal with has not sash or belt, although I will admit the current Wing Chun school does have us all wear red sash

These are all too complex for a logo. You want something clean & legible, that can go on a baseball cap. And focus on the “MT.”

Try your hand, enter the words you think the logo should include and do some free images... I'm looking for help here. Microsoft Designer - Stunning designs in a flash

I used this prompt and it did 3....

Draw a logo for "MartialTalk.com". It should feature monks practicing different forms of karate and a yin yang.

I'm not a fan of having the logo actually be an AI image, partially for ethical reasons, but also largely because they just always seem 'off' in some way. That said, they're good for concept design - here's a couple different concepts we could get a graphic designer to play around with.
First one: a martial artist with his fingers crossed - ideally in a martial/fist salute with one hand over the other

Seccond: A scroll using a seal as the fist. Likely ignore the other attributes in it as they might make it look too complicated

Third: Simply the site name with a fist

I like 40 as one monk has three legs and another has a hand for a foot!

Some of those are really good. The text on this one is even right!

This is a good image but the M is kinda wonky. Maybe using dingboard will help with the brush tool that fixes things using ai

Check out this one...

I can remove the wonky guys with the weird arms and legs in the blue and white parts.... can maybe put Martial Talk in that area.
