obviously disturbed people who have been banned in the last few months.

But how do you tell the obviously disturbed folks form the rest of us obviously disturbed marital artists who seem to enjoy getting hit, thrown, locked, and taken down :D

and DDOS can be coordinated individuals. However I do not believe it is a DOS or a DDOS, but one can never rule out the possibility

They don't smile as much when they get knocked down really well.

I got good sharpening stones. Good ones. Not cheap crap.
I don't think a blade is sharp enough until hair leaps off in fear as the blade approaches.
A sharp blade should be able to split hair lengthwise.
I do most of my sharpening on a belt, admittedly, but for the really really nice knives, it's all hand work.

Try a strop.....not a belt.

I hope you all had a merry Christmas. Ours was very nice . Brought home another dog. Sadie is a 3 or so year old st. Bernard displaced by the wild fires in California .

counted 71 spam posts this morning on MT from 3 different posters;

This type of thing killed 2 other sites I use to go on. There has got to be a way of blocking this. Wonder if you can block based on language in title. They are either only numbers or in Chinese
OK Now greater that 71, attack is happening now and it appears to be slowing down my ability to post. Typing is got a major lag. Wonder if they're going for a DOS attack
Wow that's ridiculous... it's a full onslaught... :S they are relentless ay....

Reminds me of a story from a while back. We had a few new people in class, it was me, the instructor, the newbies, and one other guy. My instructor wanted to show how to apply an RNC, so he asked me to start singing the star spangled banner. I agree, and as I'm saying see, my voice skyrockets to that of a 3 year old girl, than just peters out. He let's go, the three of us are laughing hysterically, and the newbies just have a 'what the love' look. They didn't last long.

Also ate far too much!

I also love your excursions to go do taijiquan in the basement :)

I also love the fact that you have a BASEMENT! So cool...
Post-Christmas hedonism:

- kefir pancakes (for those who are familiar with Russian and Ukrainian kitchen and language - Оладьи на кефире),
- smoked sausage,
- clotted cream,
- whole berry cranberry sauce.
Does this help?

On a less positive note, yesterday while we were having family over, the power went out. When it came back on,the lights and water work...but the wifi, cable and more importantly heat(boiler) went out. We're using heaters minimally to avoid a surge, and any hot water we want has to be boiled on the gas stove first.
I am sorry to hear that. I still have PTSD from Soviet power outages.

What a sweet face. If you're half the sucker I am, Steve, that dog will have you trained in no time.

I wasn't even there, and I'm laughing.

I’m so happy for you, Steve, that’s great news.
She’s a looker, that’s for sure.

I can’t imagine the horror everyone went through with those fires. I really can’t. And people’s pets...

She’s a lucky girl to come to your house. I wish you all the best with her.
