interesting weather we have forecast.... Today in the 20s and Monday it will rain and be in the 40s or 50s and Tuesday it will be back to single digit temps so everything will be a skating rink

scientifically, I understand why it gets cold - but, really - why does it have to be so stinkin' cold???

First lesson back in the new year of Tang Soo Do which is definitly a good thing, however, potential to have to work late and therefore miss the class is a bad thing.

45 degrees Fahrenheit and heavy rain this morning......
30 degrees Fahrenheit and snow (about an inch) around lunchtime
20 degrees Fahrenheit and freezing by the time I leave my office
15 degrees Fahrenheit by the time I get home
5 degrees Fahrenheit by the time I go to bed

Interesting weather day forecast for my area and with the rain followed by the quick temperature drop and a coating of snow it looks like the drive home will be an interesting one

and the rest of the week it looks like single digit temps baby

Really tired today, but first lesson back of Kenpo tonight, now do I take it easy and break my students back into it gently or do I go full out and get them working hard?

Grateful that my kid gets along with people with ease.
had a friend and her kid camp out at my house. Useless husband had let the utilities get turned off (long story) and since the temperatures dipped, we invited them to share our tiny (messy) house for a few days.

The kid had to share his room for a few days, while I was finally able to clear some space in my spare junk room....this morning the thermometer showed 8 degrees....

5 Degrees Fahrenheit with a wind-chill of below zero.....all day

They build for that up north, and sell appropriate clothing! (and some even looks like clothes, not like a forest puked on your fabric!)

As I sit here in flannel lined Chinos, wearing a sweater, with a heavy winter coat with hood in the closet behind me and an old school polar fleece jacket on the back of my chair, with heavy gloves and a real warm hat on my desk.....with nothing even remotely resembling anything like forest puked on your fabric in sight... whose whining...its cold that is all....

Around here, warm close look like tree stumps or signal (I mean blaze) orange....so sophisticated...I killed my antique down jackets this season...not sure how I am going to replace them.....
