I get time alone in my house and it is incredibly relaxing....... and I am never bored.... but, in the last 4 years I think it has only happened about twice

My house is an 1876 second empire Victorian. I gutted the living room down to studs. So I have electrical to do, hang sheetrock and finish then hang crown molding that will need to be custom made. Then build a harth for the pellet stove. Then paint everything.
well, you better get cracking then!
Don't forget the insulation.

..have had a good weekend seeing my family - everybody has gone home now..
Well, it's official, I have been fired from my girl scout troop.
A bid of mixed feelings, but it's cool. The program was too fluffy for my taste.
The girls are great, their mothers not so much.
In any case, it was the result of my own actions, losing my temper with the girls.

Thanks. but it is actually part of the reasons I was pretty much removed. Because there is no way I can guarantee that I will be perfect in the future.

Got a lot of yard work done this weekend. A little sore today
Sue and I have raised ten kids. I think anybody who has raised kids knows perfectly well that sometimes the grubby little kneebiters NEED to get chewed on a little bit.

But in the end, the ones who do make mistakes, and the ones who do not do will harp about it.
The ones who do not, are deluding themselves. Nobody is perfect.
Nah. Since they don't put themselves out, they don't F up.
It's easy. And it's easier to harp on the mistakes of others.
They have the perfect track record: No Mistakes.
Aside from never communicating their expectations, never supporting, or actually actively sabotaging....but everything flies under the radar.
I mean I am trying to be cool with it, and for the most part I am.
but it is not my style of dealing with problems by walking away.
yes, the girls have been pills at times, but they are teens. The parents ought to know better, considering that they are considering themselves professionals in responsible positions, dealing with people.
