Lets put it this way, 20 years ago when my divorce was finally finalized I thought life was hard, I was not missing the she demon at all, that part was a relief actually, but I thought everything else was really difficult..... I did not realize how easy I had it then
just got invited to a one day cook out/ get together with some martial art friends in a couple weeks. They are 5 hours away. The weekend after I have a 2 day seminar to go to that is 3 hours one way from here.
Question: Why can nothing happen closes to me.

I feel your pain...the Xingyiquan sifu I want to train with is 180 miles away and the Yiquan sifu I want to train with is 170 miles away and most seminars that I would like to go to are roughly that far away as well.

I know that feeling. When I got tested for my purple belt (brown stripe) we were having the testing in dallas TX. Why? Because the school I go to is branched out. a location in austin, a location in dallas and one in a small town near waco TX (I go to that one) the dallas class is around 2 1/2 hour drive. (I went with the 2 students testing for brown belt) paying for part of the gas afcoarse. Luckily for me the head instructor teaches the one I go to so they often come down to our location.

Oh my, we had a parent meeting last night with the mothers of the girl scouts.
We wanted to brain storm how we could make the troop better, since we are going into our 4th year, etc....
One of the moms had a whole bunch of ideas, too bad they were rooted in when she was a scout, back in the day, when things were really different.
Then she got off on how the girls needed the materials....they do, I admit, but the crap is expensive.
"What have we done for fundraisers?!"
Oh my gosh I wanted to punch her so HARD! It's called selling cookies, you dumb cow, something you didn't do, and kept your child from participating in!!!!!!!!
But I will let her have her go....since she is all talk, and out of both sides of her mouth, too!
Dear Lord, less avalanche, please, we got enough special little snowflakes!

Yeah.... so the oldest goes to China and is due back soon....oh but wait.... he had a great idea..... time to play a joke on me...tell me a visa issue has popped up and he may not be able to get back..... also told Mrs Xue it was all a joke and not to tell me..... REALLY!!!!
But that's ok, I sent a response, after Mrs Xue told me, that I was going to the federal office down the street from my office and I was going to tell them what I think and punch the first one, that gives me a hard time, right in the nose....
I get a response that he is sorry, it was a joke, don't go hit anyone, don't go to the federal office..it was just a joke.....sorry sorry sorry.... I have not yet told him that I knew to was a joke..... and to be honest, I am not sure if I will tell him or not....until he is home and I can get my hands on em'.... kids.....
That was just ONE of the issues from yesterday, the other is still there and still not good, but at least one has been handled.....
