WTF....strangest phone convo ever:

Only the number showed up on ID. I picked it up because sometimes those are messages from school...

Is Mrs Granfire in? (the accent told me, this guy has never spoken to any of us...)

No, can I take a message

Who is this? (like, really, you call my house and ask a question like this?)

Who are you?

I am Sonny.

Sonny who?

You don't need to know.

At this point I am hanging up...I don't need that Nigerian inheritance that badly!

Rather strange, even for a Tuesday at my house.

BTW, Sonny's number is 757-123-6658....

Just a warning? Lucky!

I decided years ago that the best policy is to make life easy for other people. So when I get clocked and see the officer looking to turn around, I don't make him chase me down. I pull over, turn on my flashers, roll down the window, turn off the engine, and sit there with my hands on the wheel, holding DL, registration, insurance and CCW permit.
In this case, when I thanked the officer for letting me off with a warning, he said "thanks for not making me chase you down."

I get a lot more warnings than tickets.

Exactly what I do to the last detail, dude--no tickets yet, just warnings.

To the last detail? So you're posting all that anti-gun drivel while packing one yourself?

As the kids say... PWNED!!!

Indeed, I do not have one of those! I have had people suggest getting one for carrying a concealed knife at times but I don't know anyone who's actually done it.

Beautiful sun set tonight. Sucks I got to see it driving into work.

How would you really enjoy spending your life, if money were no object?

An excellent and poignant video. The answer to your question may take a bit more time (and something I have been contemplating as of late anyways.)

I'd do exactly what I do now, but without the work part. I'd teach (more), I'd drive fast(er) cars (more), I'd SCUBA dive (more), I'd travel (more).
That is why I work, after all.

Back from Texas...
You all should be proud of me. We drove 2147 miles and I only got pulled over once. And only got a warning (for going 85) from the very nice Texas DPS officer.

wow - I got a warning once in Texas for going 61 in a 60 mph zone and the guy came out of the ditch to get me like Rosco from the Dukes of Hazzard!!

Yup - proud of you Sir! :)

Good workout and Homemade Chicken and Dumplings (a little counterproductive but, oh well). Time for a shower and Bed.

In work too early, but nothing planned for this evening, so feet up in front of the TV for me today, well once the next 9 hours have been worked :)
