Hey Rick,

As much as I'd love to say that the Massachusetts Bay is at the center of the universe...or even anywhere close to Henderson's home...I think the reading is way far off.

If we were at 40 degrees longitude, we'd be growing palm trees and fresh oranges up here. ;)

*looks outside* Dang. No palm trees :(

Congrats on your new belt rank :D

When I look outside I have palm trees about three diffrent kinds in my yard alone.

I just pluged that lat and long into google earth and that is where it took me.

I gave it my best shot.

I'm sorry, Kreth's Steakhouse doesn't deliver. We do offer curbside pickup, though... :uhyeah:

Not to be picky or anything, but lines of longitude run from pole to pole and would have no bearing on palm trees and oranges. It is latitude that determines if you are north or south. And by the way...there are no palm trees here either.

If you're interested Carol, your actual location (Salem, MA) is 42 deg. 31'11" N......70 deg 53'44" W (New Derby St. & Washington St. intersection)

Rick in Honolulu, HI sits around 21 deg. 22'03" N.....157 deg. 56'28" W (right near the USS Arizona Memorial)

I knew I wasn't far off but when I cut and pasted it GE plotted it in the middle of the bay.

Thanks for the UpDate.

Actual coordinates ar
21 degrees 20'13.08" N
157degrees 54'18.15 W

Looks like a construction site on GE picture hasn't been updated in a while.

I share you pain. Being in a 24/7 business will do that to ya. Why do people expect their phones to work ALL the time. jeesh...

Sounds like we've got something in common, Gemini. Do you mind revealing your employer?

You too Henderson?

Oh oh oh...can I vent about how Euopeans can't provision SS7 cirucuits properly? Huh? Huh? Can I? Please?? :roflmao:

I'm actually stuck on the retail end of wireless (cellular) communications. Each day of my life is filled with encounters with simpletons that cannot seem to figure out what "that little envelope" (message indicator) on their cell phone means, and why it won't go away! Or why it won't ring. God forbid that they actually charge the battery or turn it on! *horrified gasp*
