Neither because neither are supported by evidence.First you need to have it in theory, you then need a physical path to achieve it.
Which MA systems will you choose when the teachers says:
1. If you train my system for 10 years, you will learn ...
2. If you do the following drills, you will learn ...
I'll pick 2 and not 1.
You want to find a MA system that can teach you "how" and not just teach you "what" and "why".Neither because neither are supported by evidence.
A: Teacher, can you show me supporting evidence (e.g., video) of you, your student or anyone else using technique X, while integrating your striking and wrestling methods taking down 1000 opponents in fights? You want to find a MA system that can teach you "how" and not just teach you "what" and "why".
A: Dear teach! I want to learn technique X.
B: If you can use technique X and take down 1000 opponents on the mat, the chance that you will be able to take down the 1001 opponent will be high.
That 1000 winning record is the best evidence.
A: Can you show me any video that you have killed your opponent?A: Teacher, can you show me supporting evidence (e.g., video) of you, your student or anyone else using technique X, while integrating your striking and wrestling methods taking down 1000 opponents in fights?
B: No.
A: Ok. Then, I will go do MMA taking your wisdom.

A: OK. Then, your MA is no good.
Yeah that's fair enough, but I'm certainly not saying that the better methods are 100% guaranteed or foolproof. I'm sure even the best in the fields of other endeavours make mistakes too and are also subject to uncontrollable variables which impinge on their results. And I also don't think it's 100% measurable or able to be perfectly scientific because fights aren't in perfect laboratory conditions and are quite chaotic and can be unpredictable. There are too many variables. I do feel that some methodologies are more efficient and produce perhaps better results, when it comes to specific outcomes in specific contexts and situations. But like I said, I don't feel it can be as scientific a method as some say, too many variables. So I guess what we're really dealing with is increasing likelihoods, probabilities and of course skills (which include perceptual elements too).I disagree. Sometimes even the better fighter loses a match, so it doesn’t prove anything. I don’t believe anyone is seriously considering obviously phony instructors or systems in this particular discussion.

That being said, and it can never be said enough.... ---> it depends.
A good MA system needs to haveAm I the only one who has noticed that this thread has become EXACTLY what I was talking about?
A need to be RIGHT.

Wait a second.Am I the only one who has noticed that this thread has become EXACTLY what I was talking about?
A need to be RIGHT.
You still haven’t answered the question.Wait a second.
Irony?
Yes. Yes I have. You still haven’t answered the question.
No. No you didn’t.Yes. Yes I have.
You didn't like the answer.
This is what you are competing with. This is a club run by a mate of mine.No. No you didn’t.
You avoided the question.
With your edit, it seems that you are implying that BJJ or MMA is the best systems. Sounds accurate?
So you are implying that if a school doesn’t offer certain services to the community then that MA is not good? Laughable. This is what you are competing with. This is a club run by a mate of mine.

Does your club provide the same service to the community and quality instruction?
So you are implying that if a school doesn’t offer certain services to the community then that MA is not good? Laughable.
Only in your mind. I have a small school and have won matches against much bigger schools. Does that make my MA better? No. You are implying that BJJ and MMA is superior to other MAs, which is completely untrue. So .you can't find a comparable school.
Which means that school is just better.
There is better martial arts and worse martial arts.
Simples.
