My favorite comes from Arwrology by Gordon Perrigard. On the back of the dust jacket on the original(not the Paladin reprint) there is a blurb about how Perrigard is the foremost authority on Jiu jitsu in North America. The blurb is credited to an article in the McGill Daily.I obtained a copy of the article. Guess what? It was written by Perrigard!Puffery from early pioneers could be found in abundance! We definitely agree on that!
Wont get into the improbable history or questionable "society" that Perrigard was made the head of before forming his own organization.
