Mine was pretty intense and I imagine they are way more intense now. That is good. Train the new LEO for all of the challenges that they may face in this changing and untidy world.
If you have the money go with the Bowflex,one of the best machines I ever worked out on...If you're like me and don't have that kind of cash look into the band system made by CaneMasters..I take mine everywhere..I didn't think they were all that until at a seminar Grandmaster Shuey showed me that they are the real deal...I bought mine on the spot..Check out their web page as they always have package deals...
Amen Brian...I show them the techniqus that the State mandates..If they pick up on it real fast I show them some "tricks" from the some of the other systems that I've learned...

Its funny to see the looks I get when I first show up because of my gray hair and slightly overweight appearence..After they a few techniques and a few of them hitting the mats hard its a whole different ballgame....
LOL! Now, lets see if there are any more similarities between your Dept. and the one I dispatch for. When it comes time to book someone, is it usually done by one person, do you have someone specifically assigned to booking or does it require 5 people to take care of one person?
There are nights when we're hopping, calls are stacking up, and we got 3 or 4 people booking one person. Then you ask if someone can clear, and everyone is like, "No, we're tied up." Always amazes me, because we have some that'll make the arrest, start the booking process, do any paperwork and get back on the street, looking for the next guy, and he's done in no time at all.
Whomever arrests books..We use the city of Cleveland's jails..While another car may follow the officer to the dristrict and walk inside with the arresting officer, if its a busy day then the 2nd will return to patrol once the prisoner is in the holding cell..
