Isn't it funny how a person's upbringing can affect their perspective....? I grew up in a town of less than 1,000 and was surrounded by nature, but now live in a 'major city' - it is somewhat intimidating..but I must admit I miss the nature.. :)

It is cultural as well for her, the countryside in China is not safe and the city is.

My wife has told me nothing to rustic as well. Some luxuries like running water, bathrooms, etc. she is not willing to leave behind. :)

It was not that rustic, it had heat and running water, bathrooms and even a satellite TV. However all you could see was woods, no other houses, nothing, and worse yet, not stores or restaurants nearby, top that off with most of the roads in are dirt....well... we never went there again...and I still hear about how horrible it was.

:chuckles: THe side-of-the-car issue was responsible for the creation of a song :D. To clarify (or muddy) the waters, the side that took the damage was what would be the Passenger side in a road vehicle, which is the Left if you are sitting in the car or the Right if you are looking at it from the front .

I discovered waaaaaay back in my auto mechanic days that there is no right or left side to a car...only passenger and driver... it seemed to cut down on the confusion :D

P.S. I almost forgot - I don't think you're old Xue! :) just remember - growing up is compulsory, growing 'old' is optional! :)

OH NO!!! your not taking away my "I'm old" excuse that easily it took me over half a century to get her and be able to use it and I'm gonna use it :uhyeah:

And their both optional ;)

:grins: That they are but if you're on the road they are better than the usual alternatives :). Take your walk in the woods rather than along the highway :nods:.

Not really a song, but a parody of a parody of the epic poem The Song of Hiawatha (however I'm not so clever to make it fit Trochaic tetrameter). ;)

"When he killed the Mudjokivis,
Of the skin he made him mittens,
Made them with the fur side inside,
Made them with the skin side outside.
He, to get the warm side inside,
Put the inside skin side outside;
He, to get the cold side outside,
Put the warm side fur side inside.
That's why he put the fur side inside,
Why he put the skin side outside,
Why he turned them inside outside.[SUP][/SUP][SUP]"[/SUP]
