Taiotosh is an excellent counter to headlocks or RNC's especially from behind. Probably not that well received if you use it on a patient though...

There's plenty of effective techniques that you'd really have trouble if you used on a patient, no matter how much meth they took. I have not (yet) had to resort to striking, but there are plenty of joints locks, throws and pressure points that I make sure are not done in front of the cameras.

One word...qinna

That pretty much handled everything that got out of hand. But verbalfu was my weapon of choice most of the time but working in a ER with a mental health and a detox it was not always possible to depend on verbalfu and the stuff the Nun taught would have been ineffective at best but likely would have got staff hurt trying to use anything she taught

Wordfu is always best, but the guy on meth might not listen....

Sent the 2nd edition of my TKD Moo Duk Kwan textbook off to the publisher today. Next up is to do a DVD of all of the Kicho, Palgwe, Taegeuk and Yudanja forms to include with the book.

What is the title of your Moo Duk Kwan book? And how can I purchase it? I am interested in getting both the 1st edition and the 2nd.

I had to do 2 video's of each Palgwe and Taeguek poomsae for my 4 Dan test. One doing the poomsae followed by a second describing each hand and foot movement. Much more difficult than I had originally thought.

You tested for 4th dan by video?

So is a strike to the groin, but restraint is key. Although, they are in an ER, so not to far to go for medical help.

My voice is FINALLY getting back to normal after blowing it out in most awesome fashion. I would say it is about 80% better. Soon I will be able to record the song that blew out my voice. Hopefully I won't screw it up all over again.

Why do you throw out these mind benders so early in the morning?

It's called "A Students Guide to Tae Kwon Do Moo Duk Kwan" and is available from blurb.com. Don't expect too much. It was written as an in-house textbook, rather than for general consumption, and focuses specifically on how we do things in our school. So you'll no doubt find plenty of things you won't like, like longer, wider stances.

No. As part of my test or pre-test, if you will, I was required to create these videos. I had to go to NY for my practical test, which among other things consisted of having to perform the same exercise live.

Have you posted your videos anywhere? I'd love to see them.
