some times procrastination pays off.
Sadly only too few times though :)

Anyhow, a few weeks ago one of the scouts noticed that the back window on my Expedition was moving when he closed the trunk.
Hmm I think, until I realize that the thingamajig that attaches the glass to the arm that moves the window out was missing.

Dangit, I think, that's a trip to the dealership. (and $$$ of course, right)

Now, I had nt done anything about it (it's been weeks, right), this and that, it's been raining (that should have gotten me off my butt, no?)

and I find some odd round thing in the grass in front of the house. (ok, it's dirt, but there is supposed to be lawn!)

I pick it up and examine it. It's rather heavy, looks like a nut of some sort. Couldn't be the thing from the Expedition, could it?

I clean it, then check the car. Could work....a bit of fidgeting with the arm (the truck is long, and it's automatic...and I am short....) I get the nut on....and luckily my tool bag is even in the trunk! Another stroke of luck, the screw did catch the thread in the nut, and all is well now! :)

procrastination saved me a trip to the dealership, buying parts! :ultracool:ultracool

:hmm: I hesitate to ask this because it is likely I will just have to shun you again….but at what temperature are you talking about and defining as “spring returning”

proceed with the shunning already....
low 70s....after it was in the mid/low 40s this past week....

Nah...you're good...low 70s canbe spring and therefore does not constitute shunning.....

But I'll be watching

Same here, Brian. Plus, big birthday coming up and no inclination at all to celebrate it.

Rain yesterday in Las Vegas. More cloudy, miserable weather today. Just trying to cheer everyone else up! ;)

My Aunt lives in Vegas and the last time she was here in NYS (20 years ago) she was upset when she left and missed the rain because she had not seen rain in 2 years.

It is raining and cloudy here as well and I kind of like it, the air smells great and walking in the rain is awesome

One of the absolute coolest (Kung Fu theater cool :EG:) tuishou training times I had was in a heavy rain.... it was also likely the most stupid.... it was also a thunderstorm :D

Tempted to turn on the AC. All the windows open and it still feels stuffy in here!

...really good double practice tonight!! :) In months that have 5 Wednesdays, we have a Black Belt 'Focus' class on Wednesday nights with the emphasis on forms, one-steps, breaking, etc...it's really good to slow it down sometimes and focus on technique + it's a LOT of fun!!! :)

Man. And I thought I was busy before....

Chipping away at some old bills that have haunted me for a while. Glad I got the job - worked hard at renting out the two vacancies ... we were close to having to sell one. I can't speak to the shame of having to rely on someone else and then having that not be enough. Did some damage ... but I made choices I can't regret. Had just enough left over to grab a cheap folder to replace some broken ones I can no longer use. Still have some debt I need to pay ... but it's starting to look doable.
