Six Harmonies in Wing Chun

I always felt more of an elbow-hip connection than elbow-knee...
If you coordinate elbow with hip, then what should you coordinate your shoulder with?

Why do you need to train 6H?

We have 2 arms and 2 legs. It's like 4 independent springs that compress independently and release independently. 6H training can help you to coordinate all 4 springs and make all 4 springs to be compressed together and also to be released together.

How to train 6H?

t's so easy to design a simple drill to train 6H. For example.

1. Right arm block, right foot step in (coordinate right hand with right foot).
2. Left hand punch, left foot steps in and right foot slide in (coordinate left hand with left foot, or coordinate left hand with right foot).

At 2, some people like to coordinate left punch with left foot landing (aggressive approach). Some people like to coordinate left punch with right foot slide in (conservative approach).

This drill has nothing to do with style. It gives you an easy way to train 6H (if you think it's important for you). If you step on the ground hard, your foot sound is like the drum beat, it's easier for you to coordinate your block or punch with it.
