martial arts movies ?

They should do it like professional wrestling. There's a pre-determined winner, but the actors do everything in the fight scene on the fly (with the exception of certain moves that are required by the plot).

Professional wrestling has a pre-determined winner?!?!šŸ˜³

I guess I am looking for confirmation "Are the fights in these movies choreographed?"

All fights in all films are choreographed meticulously. The more elaborate the fight, the longer and more detailed the choreography.

Safety being the main reason. But if one of the stars getā€™s injured and canā€™t shoot film over the next few days - things go over budget big time.

Some film fights go further than choreography and are telegraphedā€¦like Bloodsport! šŸ˜.
