What's the plan there? Will people not be able to ask/get questions answered about their social security? Will people be able to get their benefits? Will it only be done online (with a large portion of people that don't have a computer)?

SSA was understaffed before DOGE. They are reaching critical mass now.
My wife went to NJ (1k miles north) for the weekend, and took our dog with her.. Which means I get to do one of my favorite things: Cleaning!
I love my wife, but she's a slob. And she's a particular slob. Which means she makes a mess, and if I try to clean it, she argues about A) what I'm cleaning and B) how I'm cleaning, which results in a fight. But if I leave it to her, because she's a slob, nothing at all gets cleaned. So I have to clean when she's not around.
Add to this, that my dog freaks out whenever a sponge, clorox wipes, vacuum or mop come out, and it becomes impossible to keep this place clean. Plus because of his disability he doesn't have control over his pee or poop, which means cleaning is just a game of keeping up with him.
With them both gone, in less than 5 hours I've fully cleaned our bathroom, our spare bathroom, our kitchen, and our office. Looking forward to spending the rest of the weekend getting this place to a spot I can look around and feel normal.

A side note for this: If they were clients and not family members, I would have diagnosed both my brother and my mother with OCPD. I've directly gone through the criteria with both of them, and they can't imagine someone would not fit that criteria. I can't diagnose myself, but I'm very similar to both of them, which makes living in a place I can't clean to my satisfaction, and no one else is cleaning to my satisfaction, very rough.
A general phrase I've stated is "I don't care how close to clean something is. If it's not 100% clean, it's dirty." And my result has been that I've learned to live in what I consider dirty 24/7 and it's not worth cleaning until a weekend like this.
I honestly don’t know. Can’t get any questions answered because there’s nobody at the Social Security office anymore. Fortunately (and I say that with a deep sadness and a burning hate in my heart) I’ll be going back to work at the airport in a month or two to feed my family. Strictly out of necessity. I do not want, and never expected, to go back to work for any reason.
So help me God, if I have to deal with a certain red cap wearing, problem manchild tourist with an attitude, things will get frisky.
I went to the store today for a loaf of bread. Expected to pay eleven bucks for it. (For a loaf of fricken bread) It was twelve ninety nine. Maybe the price will go down in the next six months. Sure, right after it starts raining C-notes and pussy.
I don’t mean to be crass, but I dedicated my life to help people, to serve and protect.
I don’t know if it was worth it anymore. That saddens me to my core.
