That’s interesting. Those places don’t sell distilled /deionised water in the U.K. Nobody uses it other than for topping up car batteries or watering chemical-sensitive plants such as orchids and carnivorous plants. What do you use it for in the US?

Most people use it in appliances when they have really hard water out of the tap. In your iron for steam, in a Neti pot, cpap machines, steam cleaners for rugs.

And thay batteries are sealed and you can’t add water to.them
