Anyone hear of eating volcanic dirt? I was talking to a Vet(the animal kind not military kind). And he was talking about eating pulverized volcanic rock. He said he started giving it to dogs as nutritional supplements and saw a lot of improvement in hip and knee as well as skin ans blood problems in dogs. So he started taking it and said he feels better then he ever has. He was talking about how its full of Macro nutrients. He was trying to give me some but I'm not so sure I want to be eating dirt
over the course of a year, you're going to eat a pound of dirt anyway..
Does it have stems in it?

I just wanted to thank the contributors to this thread for having helped me raise a smile several times over this past week. I have been very low, tucked up tight against my grief, since our wedding anniversary came around and it has done me the world of good to read the impromtu-comedy-acts that have spawned here of late and .
Dude he mentioned diabetes said it shows mild improvements for that too. He was going on and on about how it has positive effects on the pancreas to help regulate blood sugar lvlsWell 20 minutes to go and then into the final meeting of the day then I'm off for the weekend. Nothing exciting planned as I just have a diabetic review being held tomorrow.... Now, I wonder if eating some dirt will improve matters?
I am acquainted with someone who takes dietamaceous (sp?) earth and swears by it.
