I was sitting in the stands watching my kids participate in a sporting event this evening but I couldn't help but think of the 2 men that got up this morning for another boring Weds day shift and they will never go home again. I'm sure they were making plans for lunch before this happened. Perhaps thinking about dinner with their families tonight or weekend plans with their loved ones or even needing to attend their own family event this evening. Two men that were sitting in roll call a few hours prior laughing with their fellow officers. I think of the other officers their friends that got the call to come help their fallen friends and the terror, anger, helplessness they must fell. Wishing that police car was a little faster and the traffic would pull out of the way that much quicker. I think of families that this morning worried about silly things like remembering to pay the cable bill or we need new tires on the car and now they are planning a funeral. I'm angry and heart broken. I wonder if sometime over the last 15 years I crossed paths with these deputies maybe in a class or talked to one on the phone. I can't understand why this happens but I will not back down. I will not let evil win. When the tones drop I will answer the call.

Rain now, temps in the high 60s in the next few days, and yeah, tornado warnings....
 
I have a feeling today is going to be a good Tuesday. Especially when there is breakfast
 
Hubby asked me this morning at 4 AM 'Do I have any clothes to wear to work?'

Uh, Honey, I don't know. I had no time to wash nor hunt dirty laundry....I was at WORK over the weekend.....
Why can't he ask this question at 4PM, when I can do all of the above?

He's not capable of doing it himself? I didn't know you were married to a quadriplegic...
 
LOL, I did not get up to hunt clothes....

But he has trouble getting around, having severe pain issues in his back and knees (never sure how much is man flu, though)
And I really don't like him doing any cleaning, but let him do as much as he wants.
I just need to train them better, have your crap at the laundy room, and no, the jackets you did not wear are not dirty.....:mad:
 
I wonder what happens when someone hits(car wreck) with a police car. It looked like the police car looked like it had a smashed headlight and the front end bumper on the other persons car just barely hanging on.
