I can't say I've noticed any difference in the parts, personally. NAPA is generally a bit more expensive than other places, but the staff does seem to be car guys, not counter monkeys.
I once went into an AutoZone to get a cam position sensor for a '98 Ram 5.9L and was told by the counter monkey that the 5.9L didn't have one.
Mind you, I had the dead part lying on the counter at the time...
No your good. I was speaking more along the lines of bigger items with moving parts like starters, alts, etc. Pads, rotors, oil, filters etc are all the same. Most are all made by the same factory anyway and just put in different boxes.Oh, great, now I have to find an Napa place....
..met the president of my company today - completely down to earth guy -
I called him Sir, he smiled and said 'call me Dave'.. - I work for the
largest privately held company in North America and the CEO told me to
call him Dave.. nice!!
You know, IMO, the two most interesting and enjoyable threads on MT...for awhile now are... the LPTv4 and Jenna's "Have you learned any thing??"
Beyond that...its all if you ain't a grappler you ain't nothin', BJJ is the most awesome, undefeatable greatest bestests most superior to all other styles that ever have or ever will exist and of course the IQ challenged and trolls
I am beginning to feel we are not all that far off from
MT
I have to be in a special mood to be playing with trolls.
MY ART IS BETTER THAN YOUR ART...eh, how boring.
I thought Krav Maga kicked everybody's butt?!
I think Aikido is much more elegant, but I take Hanmudo in a pinch
HanmuWHAT?
Yeah, I know.
I feel like I abandoned Manni in TKD, but my activity on forums comes in spurts.
And since I have not set fut in a Dojo in years, my experience is dwindling.
Forums are a little like gaming guilds:
The GM doesn't show up, the whole thing begins to crumble
(it's Bob's fault! )
But internet forums are no longer the preferred communication form for the internet.
Not sure why, because it is so much more stable, conductive to an intelligent discussion than the chat room offsprings of FB and Twitter or Tumblr.
Back to the brake adventure, break is over.....
C clamps, but that's the problem, the left caliper won't collapse....
Maybe the fancy tool?
Yeah, and Husband took it out of my hands...as usual.
it's fixed. The air turned blue, but eventually the pieces got put back together.
The rotor on the left inside do feel kind of rough, but eh. The Master overruled my concerns. I suppose the next times they get turned or changed.
But one thing does bother me: the pad on that side was worn down to the metal, the outside one still had that groove through the middle. That does not give me the warm and fussies, as the other (right) side was no where near as bad.
