And she was hot!

Joke: What do you call a woman who is flying a plane?
A pilot, you sexist pig!

Got spoiled by the infotainment systems in the Wrangler and the Colorado, so I ordered stuff to replace the somewhat dated (1999...) unit in the Vette. Console, double din unit with Apple Carplay, backup cam, DVD, etc.

yeah, you don't want to back up in anything....that car would be totaled....

I have a 2000 Mercedes I've toyed with restoring (actually, intended to, until it was rear-ended). I still think I might install an improved infotainment system (with a backup camera), to gain all the improvements that are so easily available now.

Easily. Insurance companies don't care about modifications, all they care about is blue book. Which is going to show a lot lower value than I could sell it for to someone who is into racing. And Corvette parts are pricey. Someone backed into while I was teaching at the Y. They tore the urethane on the front bumper and broke the park light/turn signal lens. $3000 to repair it.

Many years ago, someone backed into my 1976 3/4 ton 4x4 GMC Pickup truck. Backed right into the rear bumper. It did some damage to their car..... however, if i was not for the red paint mark on my box steal and boiler plate bumper...I would have had no idea anything happened. Similar thing happened in the late 70s when I was driving a 1970 Buick LeSabre. I was stopped at a light and a guy drove right into me, crushed and broke the front end of his car....didn't even scratch the chrome on the Buick

Yeah. That's part of the problem with vehicles from that era. No impact absorbing. So when you're in a crash, it's your body absorbing all that kinetic energy.

Learning Chinese terminology is more confusing than Japanese terms. With the Chinese terms you have Mandarin, Cantonese, piyin and Wade's giles.
And trying to write the stuff is a nightmare. Learning this stuff is... Gonna take some time.

My dad drove an old model Volvo....
Had a trailer hitch.
One morning on the way to work, he felt a slight bump, and noticed he got rear ended - at medium swift travel speed.
And the car got stuck on the hitch for a short spell....
once it came unstuck, he just drove on....it was dark, and cold, and he didn't feel like getting out.
It's not like that would have done anything to that car....

Stick with pinyin. as for Cantonese and Mandarin, what are you learning them for?

Mostly out of curiosity, partially due to the fact that next month I'm going to a Kung Fu reunion and I wanna have some terms remembered
