Forms without belts

This thread is specifically aimed at folks who teach or train a style that uses forms, but does not use a colored belt system to measure the curriculum. How do forms work in your curriculum? How do students know which forms to learn, or how do instructors know which ones to teach? Does it matter what order students learn them in?
In Jow Ga forms and drills go together. The technique drills that students do are often the same techniques that are found in the form that they will be learning. By the time the student gets to the form he / she would have learned a majority of what is in the form.


How do forms work in your curriculum?
The same as it works in belt systems. Learn a form prove competency and then learn next form.

How do students know which forms to learn, or how do instructors know which ones to teach?
Students learn what the teacher assigns. Instructors know. How forms progress. They know what forms they statredout with or the look at the learning path as determined by the Chief Instructor.

Does it matter what order students learn them in?
Yes. Forms are classified as Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
