Although in my self-defense experiences, I was a bit ornery. In a street fight, you have to be ornery and want to kick the other guy's behind so you don't hold anything back, yet letting your mind be calm and your muscles relaxed. Kinda hard to explain, but you have to make use of the hormones like adrenaline yet keeping everything level and not going like a wild man, which will just get you hurt as a lack of "forgetting" what you are doing.
