I completely agree. But bloody noses happen. They’re what cause the most blood in dojos or boxing gyms in my experience.
It’s important to stop on a nose bleed in training, otherwise it goes all over the place.

I bought my own colored belts because I never got a size that fit me (and I hated single wrapping) and some of them were really cheap junk that wouldn't last a couple months of everyday training. I picked up decent enough belts for like half off and was happy with them.

I was fortunate to run a busy dojo. I got good advice from a lot of experienced teachers that came before me. They said “become a distributor for all equipment used in a dojo, including uniforms.”

So that’s what we did. It was great, we could get the students anything they needed.
