Andrew Vachss passed away on 11/27/2021. A prolific writer of gritty and realistic novels, especially the Burke series, Vachss was a tireless defender and advocate for child protection. He turned to writing fiction as the most effective way to get the message out about child abuse and the creation of monsters. Andrew coined the Family of Choice, and his writing spanned hardboiled crime to science fiction and comics.
