It seems adverts are being interspersed within thread posts and even amongst forum subheadings. Have you noticed? This is annoying as I have to turn my mental advert filter to maximum!

I’ve downloared an adblocker and it seems to have done the trick!

Correction, it hasn’t worked!

Any suggestions on what I can do to avoid them? I’m using Adblock Plus (for Safari) and Safari’s own pop up blocker all on an iPad.

I'm seeing them just on my iPad, but not on my desktop PC. No idea what has changed.

I run pi-hole on my home network running on a little raspberry pi. Have done for several years now. Blocks all the ads for all devices on the network and requires minimal maintenance. Works great.

Good ole Temu. I have actually bought from them. As long as you are not in a hurry for delivery, and don't expect fantastic quality, they are okay.

Why would you choose and pay for and to wait a long time for a unspectacular quality product? Do you go to restaurants that take ages to serve a mediocre meal? Ah wait, all restaurants do that these days

That option was already turned off for me and I’m still seeing them.

FYI, I cleaned out my cache/cookies and it seems to have solved it for now at least

Yes, they have reappeared on my feed today.

They’re so intrusive, they’re putting me off visiting the forum (“hoorah!”, I hear you cry).

I just tried this and so far, so good.

I blocked all cookies too, but a few websites require you to turn this back on (Amazon) to continue to them Also, make sure you know all you sign-in details for every website you regularly visit as you’ll have to sign back in to them to browse.

I don’t usually, but these are interspersed within the thread and have disturbing images in them (animal cruelty). If they’re along the side of the page, I don’t notice them, which is why Google is doing what it’s doing!

Wasn't getting any of animal cruelty, but it was after every post, as big as a post, and 3 at the bottom of the page.

It was a ‘sign a petition’ advert and showed an intensively farmed pig lying on it’s side in a tiny, steel floored pen. A bit disturbing for someone with my views on that stuff.
