acidemic testing vs martial school testing

Even if you get a belt that's already black it started out as a white belt. Every colored belt started out as a white belt and then was dyed whatever color it is. Underneath the coloring its a white belt.
If you’re going to be pedantic, be accurate. They are almost certainly made from black cloth, not made as white belts, then dyed.

Because buying a black belt that you haven't earned with skill is cheating.

They're not all senseless and pointless, not if people think about them. The thing is, many people are lazy minded and as such will not think about them.

My 'real job' involves control & automation. I have done quite a lot of fabric and stranding automation so I know a little bit about this. Even if you are talking about a 100% cotton belt, it will not start out white after processing. Virgin cotton out of the field is handled and processed differently. That is why it cost so much more. Most items that say 'cotton' nowadays contain synthetics at varying percentages. In this process, the color is established from the initial compounding stages, so whatever color is chosen, the finished material will be that color from jump. Even white (which is just another color).

Umm, this is near exactly what I inferred in my post.

You are arguing for the sake of arguing without saying much. I welcome the banter but lets keep it on topic.
